The staff here was incredibly nice and helpful, truly. We had a very late flight back to MIlan and they allowed us to check-out when we wanted. They were also very honest. We paid in advance and there was a change in the currency and they returned the difference ( we would never have known) which we thought was really nice. You cannot beat the price, the euro and the pound go a very long way here. Stay at this hotel, you will be glad you did.

The breakfast was a little sparse, but it will get you going. A note about the town, not the hotel. People have to keep in mind that life here is different than life in the more westernized European countries, so you have to keep this in mind. Also, the stray dogs can be scary, but just walk past and they will not bother you. Lastly, the airport is not so well run, so If you are coming, try to make arrangements for a pick- up. The bus they speak of only holds 8 people and there is only one. Also, the few taxis go quickly and if you are not in the first group out you must wait an hour for then next few and so on. This can be a problem if you arrive late. Again, this is not about the hotel, the hotel was great, this is about other things I wish I had know

The view was fabulous from the balcony of the restaurant part. The rooms which have sea view are the best. The hotel location is fantastic, just a few mins. of walk to the historical places and the beach. The stuff was kind and caring, helping, smiling. The door downstairs, opening to the marina is the easiest and safest way to the beach, cafés and restaurants at the seacoast.

There was two unfortunate things which were disappointing; the annoying noisy elevator and the malodour of the bathrooms. Well, we knew the building was an historical one with a marvelous ambiance but the renovation should be contributing the noisy elevator and the bathroom ventilation.

I loved the position of the hotel, even if the rooms are small, they are confortable! As minuses: the hotel is old and the owner did not invest enogh money to repair it and the exterior looks scary...holes in the walls and so on, offering the feeling that a small earthquake will put the hotel down. As another minus, the furniture in the hotel is too old, the elevator is antique and slow and scary a little bit! As big plus: the staff is great, the position is perfect, the view to the port wonderful! I recomand the hotel for the cost effectiveness and I hope the owner will invest some more money to repair it! It would be a pitty to lose such a great construction! Great design, perfect location, wonderful view to the constanta port!

Good location and friendly staff

1. Not informed when booking, that the cheap rooms come with broken aircon 2. After complaining was moved to another room with the aircon unit working but barely, virtually no cold air. 3. If you have a room near the lift, make sure u have ear plugs, as it's a noisy old thing. 4. Refrigerator was barely working. 5. Building site next to hotel although no work was being carried out at the time. 6. Could smell the sewerage coming from the shower drain, distgusting it was.

Very good hotel, with good food, clean rooms, calm environment. Close to the city center of Constanta, but quite far from the beach of Mamaia. Close by there is the beach of Constanta, but this is not comparable. If distance or being close to the beach is not crucial, definitely a recommendation.

Hotel is located in architectonicaly interesting building after recontruction. Friendly staff, breakfest on the terase with the ocean view.There is a hotel parking also.I can highly recomend it.Excelent Price/Value

Nice room, with a partial sea view and a renovated bathroom. the staff was helpful and friendly.

Lack of toiletries in the bathroom, old furniture with a bit of class though and the average cleanliness could have been a bit better.

- nice room with both loggia and small balcony - good location near the yacht harbour and the beach; just a 5 minute walk to the art nouveau casino, ovid memorial and other sights - breakfast at terrace with view on the yacht harbour

- hotel did not react on our mails in advance of our arrival - apart from one croissant for each person there is a breakfast buffet with nothing but savoury food - a question of taste... - tall people will get problems with the bed and the bathroom. Both are very narrow.

The staff were very friendly & helpful. The location is excellent, with very many good beach bars within 20 metres going from the waterfront exit, and an excellent restaurant within 20 metres using the constanta-side exit. The bathrooms were excellent, and the rooms very clean. The hotel has wonderful sweeping staircases, terraces, views. I would be very very happy to return. Such great value for money
